The Story Behind the Stands

It all started when I began collecting mouthpieces for my college students to try. I needed a display that was functional and accessible, so I asked my father—an amazing woodworker—to build one. What he sent back was more than a display; it was a piece of art made from olive wood he found in a discount bin. I loved it so much, I kept it at home.

Inspired, I decided to try making one myself. Using scrap wood and leftovers gifted by my neighbor @mocfurniture, a furniture maker, I started building displays from pieces that were once considered unusable—cracked, mismatched, full of character. I found joy in giving this wood new life.

Each stand I create is truly one of a kind. I leave many of the natural imperfections—marks, dents, odd cuts—intact. The dowels are hand-tapped, not glued, and while the boards are sealed, the dowels are left unfinished to reduce toxins where your mouthpiece rests.

If you appreciate craftsmanship, sustainability, and things with a story, you’re in the right place.
